The World According to Dalila

Jeremy and I are the ultimate proud parents.  We can't have a conversation without at least mentioning something cute Dalila did the other day, and pictures of our darling daughter dominate our phones, cameras, and walls.  In the spirit of proud parenting, I thought I'd share some of the cute things Dalila has been doing lately.

1) "Drama Face":  Yep - we even have a name for it!!  The best part is, she LOVES to impress people with her wit and charm - strangers and family members alike.  All we have to do is say "Drama Face" and she instantly whips out this little gem:
.......wouldn't you be proud too!?!

2) Enjoying the outdoors:  Lila is JUST like her daddy.  She loves to be outside and looks fantastic in a great pair of shades.  See for yourself:
The chill posture really completes the look.

3) Riding with Daddy:  Ok - before you freak out, yes, she's on a motorcycle.  However, I am probably one of the most cautious mothers you will EVER meet and I completely trust Jeremy on an itty-bitty motorcycle.  Plus, the whopping one-mile-an-hour speed limit I heavily enforced pretty much guaranteed safety for baby and Daddy.
And how could we ignore the look of utter glee on her face?!? The girl is in heaven!!

4) Swimming!!: ...Well...maybe more like donning her adorable bathing suit, running around the backyard wreaking havoc, throwing anything she can lift into the pool, and occasionally slipping down her slide with a heartfelt "WHEEE!!!"  But isn't that how we all learned how to swim?
...not to mention - she looks amazing in orange polka dots!

5) Helping Mommy pack:  Really, do I need anything else?  I think not:

6) Making us fall more in love with her every single day...

This little girl is everything to us.  We are increasingly grateful to her for showing us the beauty in a previously unnoticed pattern of cracks in the sidewalk, or just how hilarious and interesting her friendly backyard ants really can be.  Looking at the world as a toddler is an eye-opening experience....and we have the best guide anyone could ask for.....
