Hard to believe our little lady is just that now, no longer a baby at all, but a sweet young lady...with a huge dash of mischief mixed in. For her third birthday party, Dalila had her choice of themes, but finally ended up going with her latest obsession (one of many) - Minnie Mouse. Once the theme was decided, off we went to find EVERYTHING Minnie Mouse this place has to offer. And in a country where copyright laws are practically nonexistent, we had no trouble catering to the Minnie-obsessed birthday girl's every whim.
Preparations began with a special trip to Dubai to locate anything and everything Minnie Mouse-themed that the birthday girl could envision. She happily plucked every party favor offered in her chosen theme from the lowest hanging shelves and tossed them into the cart. Here's a photo of the main table, pre-party, in all of its Minnie Mouse splendor:

Next came a cake hunt on Pinterest. Our location of choice was, once again, our local golf club where
last year's party was such a huge success. One of the perks offered by the Al Ain Golf Club is an in-house pastry chef who prepares any requested cake for guests. Fortunately, the pastry chef this year was new...and understood what Minnie Mouse looks like a bit better than last year's chef's vision of
Mickey Mouse. Dalila pondered her choices and finally selected a few Minnie cakes that she loved, and the results were quite satisfactory:
(Never mind the fact that the chef took our image VERY literally and used a "2" instead of a "3." The birthday girl didn't care, so why would we!?)
The final ingredient to the perfect birthday for our awesome little lady? A big girl bike!!
